Born in Calgary, Alberta to military parents, an Air Force tactical helicopter pilot mother and an Infantry Officer father, Bruno grew up in numerous cities throughout Canada and quickly became accustomed to moving. Bruno spent many years living in Alberta before moving to Vancouver, BC where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Being a proud francophone, he pursued this degree in French in the University’s Public Administration and Community Service program, which included a year of studying abroad in one of Europe’s capitals – Strasbourg, France. In his final year in Vancouver, he worked for the Department of Canadian Heritage as a Program Officer.
After graduating from SFU in 2015, he started Law School at the University of Ottawa in the French Common Law Program where he is currently in his second year of the program and anticipates graduating in May of 2018. Besides having an interest in Military Law, he is also interested in Family Law and Civil Litigation.
After work, Bruno can be found running along the Rideau Canal preparing for his next race or at the gym doing Zumba with friends. While completing his Bachelor’s degree, he was a member of the SFU Varsity swim team where he specialised in long distance races and individual medley. He competed at the 2010 London Olympic Trial in Montreal, QC. After finishing his Bachelor’s degree, Bruno took up running and has since run five half-marathons.
