“Encounters Canada” – Colonel Drapeau presides over a Citizenship Ceremony for new Canadians

Ottawa, March 27, 2014.  Colonel Drapeau, OMM, CD presides at a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony at the “Encounters with Canada” at 1805 Gaspé, Ottawa, Ontario for twenty-nine (29) candidates – from twelve (12) countries who met all the requirements of the Citizenship Act –  took theOath of Citizenshipto become Canadian citizens. Also present were Ms Francine Jobin, Program Director, Encounters with Canada; CF Chief Warrant Officer Jacques Boucher and RCMP Staff-Sergeant (retired) Garth Hampson. In attendance also were approximately 60 bright and articulate high school students drawn across each province and territory. By their presence and active participation, these students made the event even more memorable and enjoyable for everyone.
